MACHINE INFORMATION
1) Mussel Sock Stripper
Mussel Sock Stripper eliminates manual sock stripping in mussel plants. 

Socks are fed in the top of the hopper where an internal rotating cone gently separates the mussel and socks with minimal stress to the mussel.

These units can be fed manually or by a speed-controlled elevating conveyor.
The Sock Stripper is driven by hydraulics, and is fabricated from food grade stainless steel and plastic materials.

The inner cone is easily accessible for cleaning and maintenance.


2) MUSSEL DECLUMPER
Mussel Declumper separates mussels from the spat and small mussels that amass during natural growth of the mussel.

This unit features a hopper and in-feed conveyor. Additionally, it utilizes a paddled shaft to separate the mussels and a ring grader to filter out the debris and small mussels not suitable for packaging.

The mussels are loaded into a hopper and travel on an incline conveyor that gradually feeds the Declumper.

The paddled shaft within the unit moves the product and separates the mussels. It is then transferred into a ring grader that removes the separated debris and undersized mussels.


3) SANITARY CONVEYOR - INCLINE STYLE
We incorporate CIP spray systems, belt lifts, flip out sides, removable carry way, wash down components, stand offs, and other hygienic features to ensure ease of sanitation and access to components without the use of tools.

4) MUSSEL DEBYSSER
Mussel Dybysser effectively removes the beard from the mussel.

This unit features rakes to move and spread the mussels and a series of knurled rollers for beard removal.

As mussels enter the machine they are spread and moved across a series of knurled rollers that tumble the product, grip and remove the beard from the mussels.


5) MUSSEL TAPER GRADER
Mussel Taper Grader to accurately grade mussels by size.

This unit features a series of tapered rollers to accomplish grading.

The mussels travel down angled and tapered rollers that move the product and allow the specific sized mussels fall into a bin or other conveyor.


6) SANITARY CONVEYOR - MODULAR BELT

We incorporate CIP spray systems, belt lifts, flip out sides, removable carry way, wash down components, stand offs, and other hygienic features to ensure ease of sanitation and access to components without the use of tools.

7) MUSSEL WEIGH BAGGER
Mussel Weigh Bagger for accurate weighing and bagging of mussels, clams or scallops.


This unit features a hopper and an incline conveyor that feeds an automatic scale. Mussels are loaded into the hopper and travel on an incline conveyor that feed a weighing chute.

The conveyor is fitted with two belts, one that feeds bulk product and another that trickle feeds.

The bulk feed belt stops when it is close to the prescribed weight and then the trickle belt will feed a smaller volume to reach an accurate weight.


Once at the correct weight a door opens to empty the chute and fill the bag.
